Economics As Meditation

What can I say, other than Amen? Neoclassical economics as spiritual meditation.

It has been said before – and not just by the present writer – that neoclassical economics amounts to a sort of theological system that bears no resemblance to reality for the simple reason that it does not aim at reality.

Meanwhile we sit here while the meditator-in-chief contemplates his navel before announcing his next assault of the financial markets and the economies of the world.
