Over the years, auto dealers have purchased legislation preventing manufacturers from selling cars directly to the public. This is, as usual, straightforward corruption that has become accepted by the passage of time.

Tesla, the electric car maker, is challenging this monopoly – basically a tax we all pay when we buy a new car.

Good for them. Buying and selling cars needs to be moved to the Internet age, and become fair and transparent.
